External Monitor

Connecting an External Monitor

Follow the instructions below to use an external monitor with the notebook.

1. Be sure that both the notebook and the external monitor are turned off.

2. Open the I/O port cover at the rear of the notebook and locate the 15-pin female

CRT connector.

3. Connect the appropriate end of the monitor cable to the CRT connector on your

notebook if necessary. Connect the other end of the monitor cable to your

monitor and tighten monitor cable connector retaining screws.

4. Connect the monitor power cable to the monitor, and plug the monitor power

cable into a wall outlet.

5. Power on the monitor as well as any other peripheral devices you may have

connected to the notebook, and then turn on the notebook.
